True View Mirror Privacy Policy

App name: True View Mirror (반전거울 - 남들이 보는 나의 진짜 모습)

Package name: com.trueviewmirror

Developer/Operator: The198thStreet

Effective date: August 16, 2026

Privacy contact: czerny2k@naver.com

This Privacy Policy explains how the “True View Mirror” Android app accesses, processes, transmits, retains, and deletes user data.

The app does not provide account registration, login, or payment features and does not use a developer-operated user server or database.

Camera images are processed in real time only on the device and are not transmitted to a developer-operated server or advertising service. The current image is saved to the device gallery only when the user explicitly taps the save button.

1. Data We Process

Data typeHow it is processedPurpose
Camera images and frozen frames Images from the front-facing camera and the frame shown when the user freezes the screen are processed in device memory. They are not retained permanently before saving or transmitted to a developer-operated server or advertising service. Provide mirrored view, true-view orientation, and screen-freeze features
Photos saved by the user When the user taps save, the current image is converted to JPEG and stored in the device's Pictures/TrueViewMirror folder or gallery. The photo is not transmitted to the developer. Allow the user to keep the current image on the device
App settings The selected viewing mode and camera-permission request state are kept in app-specific storage. Android backup and device transfer are disabled for this app. Retain the selected viewing mode and provide permission guidance appropriately
Advertising, device, and diagnostic information Google Mobile Ads SDK may automatically collect and share IP address (which may be used to estimate general location), app and ad interactions, diagnostic information, and device or account identifiers such as Android advertising ID and app set ID. Advertising, ad performance measurement, service stability, and fraud prevention
Advertising privacy choices Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) SDK may check and process advertising consent status and privacy choices in applicable regions. Provide consent and privacy controls required by applicable law and determine whether ads may be requested

The app does not directly ask users to provide a name, phone number, email address, contacts, precise location, microphone data, or call information.

2. App Permissions and User Choice

  • Camera: This core permission is used to display images from the front-facing camera. The mirror feature cannot be used without it.
  • Storage (Android 9 and earlier): May be requested when the user chooses to save a photo to the gallery. On Android 10 and later, the app uses MediaStore and does not request broad storage permission to save photos.
  • Internet and network state: Provides Google advertising and advertising privacy controls and checks network connectivity.
  • Advertising identifiers: Google Mobile Ads SDK may use the Android advertising ID and related identifiers for advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention.

Users can change or revoke camera or storage permission at any time in Android settings. The app does not request location, microphone, contacts, or phone permissions.

3. Purposes of Processing

  • Display front-camera images in a mirrored orientation or the orientation in which other people see the user.
  • Freeze the selected frame or save it as a photo in the device gallery.
  • Retain the user's selected viewing mode across sessions.
  • Serve advertising appropriate to the user's region and consent status and measure ad performance.
  • Maintain service stability and prevent advertising fraud.

4. Third-Party Services and Data Sharing

The developer does not collect or sell camera images, frozen frames, saved photos, or app settings through its own server. The following services may process data for their respective purposes:

  • Google Mobile Ads SDK and UMP SDK: May process the advertising, device, diagnostic, and consent information described above for advertising, consent and privacy-choice management, analytics, and fraud prevention. Camera images and saved photos are not transmitted to Google advertising services. Data transmitted by Google Mobile Ads SDK is encrypted in transit using TLS.
  • Device gallery and photo synchronization services: If the user opens a saved photo or enables photo backup or synchronization on the device, the selected gallery app or cloud service may process the photo. This depends on the user's device and account settings and is not controlled by the developer.
  • GitHub Pages: May process ordinary web request information such as IP address, access time, browser, and user agent when serving this Privacy Policy page.
  • Legal requirements: Information may be provided when required by applicable law, court order, or a valid government request. However, the developer does not maintain an app user database.

5. Advertising and User Choice

When the user taps save for the first time, the app provides a notice and may show no more than one interstitial ad per app session if an ad is ready. After the ad is closed, the photo is saved and the app returns to the original screen. If an ad is not ready or cannot be shown, photo saving continues.

On launch, the app uses Google UMP SDK to update consent information and, where required, show a consent form. In applicable regions, users can review or change their choices through the ad privacy settings available from the app's exit confirmation screen.

Users can reset or delete their advertising ID or change ad personalization settings in Android or Google settings. Ad personalization and available choices may vary by region, Google settings, and applicable law.

6. Retention and Deletion

  • Live camera images and unsaved frozen frames are processed temporarily only in device memory and are not retained permanently.
  • Photos explicitly saved by the user remain in the device gallery until the user deletes them through a gallery or file management app.
  • Photos separately saved to the gallery may remain after the app is uninstalled and must be deleted by the user.
  • App settings are deleted when the app's data is cleared in Android settings or the app is uninstalled.
  • Copies stored by photo synchronization services and data processed by Google or GitHub are retained and deleted according to each service's policy and the user's account settings.
  • The app does not create user accounts, so no separate account deletion process is required.

7. Security

Camera images are processed on the device, and app settings are kept in Android app-specific storage. The app does not use a developer-operated server, and advertising-related network data is transmitted in encrypted form through Google Mobile Ads SDK. However, no electronic processing method can guarantee absolute security.

8. Children's Privacy

The app is not designed exclusively for children, and the developer does not knowingly collect children's personal information directly. A parent or guardian may contact the address below for related inquiries or deletion requests.

9. International Processing

Third-party services such as Google and GitHub may process data outside the user's country while providing their services. Their privacy policies and applicable laws may apply.

10. Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated due to changes in app features, laws, Google Play policies, or third-party services. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective or last-updated date on this page.
